We’ve just got back from a lovely week in Perranporth, Cornwall. I love a good staycation especially when it’s in Cornwall, what’s not to love? Pasties, blue seas, gorgeous beaches and lovely people! We stayed at Haven Perranporth and our accommodation was right near the sand dunes which made for a lovely signal blocker! Hence why I’m only just getting a post up now. One of my Cornish friends had a brilliant saying on this ” welcome to Cornwall where the seas are blue and the wifi is non-existent). I swear they put signal blockers in places like this to force interactions haha!
Thankfully at the beach there’s wifi available at a lovely pub called The Watering Hole! So I was able to make my business meeting and make the rest of the team jealous of my view! I mean come on who wouldn’t want an office on the beach?
Haven’s restaurant the Surf Bay was a welcomed surprise, most days we spent hours walking the dunes and beach so we didn’t want to venture off site on the evening so we had two of our evening meals in Surf Bay. The staff were all friendly and incredibly welcoming making a special effort with our 4 year old son. There was a great range of meals from local Cornish produce, burgers , hot dawgs and much more! Their cocktails were also delicious! I highly recommend the Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Jelly Baby Cocktail!
What I love about Haven is that it is also pet friendly, Bella our dog loves going to Haven locations as it means she can be a part of our holidays rather than having to be left with pet sitters! There are loads of pet friendly beaches in Perranporth and surrounding areas. My favourite is Perran Sands which is actually on the Haven site. The sand dunes were also a brilliant place to exercise her, we even had the opportunity to watch the sunset whilst sat on the dunes, a truly breathtaking experience.
